Description

THE ROLE

Talon is seeking to appoint a Group Financial Director to support its continued growth. Reporting to, and acting as a deputy to the CFO, this position is a key position in the business, responsible for leading the finance function on a day-to-day basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATIONSHIPS

  • Leadership and development of the UK, US & International Finance functions, overseeing all aspects of the across; FP&A, Controllership and Transactional Finance
  • Build meaningful relationships with our key external agency partners and suppliers ensuring best in class working capital management
  • Lead on all client audits working with our agency partners collaboratively, and leveraging our internal finance functions to deliver these on a timely basis
  • Manage and deliver the consolidated management accounts, performance of regular audits and be the lead contact for external auditors.
  • Develop and review the finance strategy and associated budgets via the facilitation of quarterly business reviews, ensuring the constant measurement of business units against target
  • Provide support for the process around acquisitions and strategic partnerships
  • Interface directly with Senior Leadership Teams across associated companies within the group.

 

  • Ensure full financial compliance across all locations globally
  • Drive continuous improvement and utilise technology to drive a world class financial reporting and control function.
  • Identify cost improvement opportunities and provide guidance on cost management and improving the bottom line.

YOUR EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Qualified Accountant ACA/ACCA/ CIMA
  • Previous experience as a finance director and management of a broad range of individuals/activities across a finance function
  • Experience in a media or consumer services environment would be advantageous
  • Experience of working with private equity backed companies would be desirable
