THE ROLE_
The VP, Client Strategy is responsible for the servicing and growth of a portfolio of clients. As a team lead the VP is responsible for reporting on and delivering on targets, managing the professional development of their team. The VP takes responsibility for managing internal and external relationships to deliver outstanding service that delights our clients.
This is a senior role that reports directly into the Senior Vice President.
A DAY IN THE LIFE_
Client/Partner Relationships
- Have ultimate responsibility for the service & growth of a portfolio of clients, as well as ensuring your team is delivering the highest level of service to stakeholders.
- Ensure you and your team have a thorough understanding of the strategy and objectives of your main accounts.
- Identify and resolve all major client servicing issues within teams to the mutual benefit of all parties.
- Regularly monitor client service levels and gather external feedback from senior level clients, agencies, and vendor partners
- Ultimate responsibility for developing and maintaining senior level client, agency, and vendor relationship.
- Ensure team has a strong understanding of Talon’s planning and buying principles, and the ability to articulate these to senior level clients, agency and vendor partners.
- Work collaboratively across all internal teams including Client Activation, Production, Finance, Sales, etc.
- Lead or manage cross-company working groups or initiatives to ensure Talon is at the forefront of industry leading developments.
Reporting/New Business Growth
- Accountable for the team achieving targeted forecast figures and growth targets while delivering plans to budget with best value offer for clients.
- Accountable for ensuring all reporting is up to date and accurate.
- Ensure teams have a thorough understanding of all Talon resources, tools, systems and are actively promoting all elements to Talon’s advantage where revenue potential exists.
- Identify opportunities to cross-sell or develop new opportunities to drive incremental revenue from Talon tools and research.
- Prepare and present new revenue opportunities using existing Talon initiatives or creating bespoke solutions for clients.
- Lead or take a key role in significant client/agency pitches.
- Work with Sales team on new business pitches as required.
- Accurately and regularly forecast, report, and deliver revenue and margin targets for the portfolio of agencies/clients
- Overall responsibility for driving commercial priorities and targets for the portfolio of agencies/clients, including diversified revenue such as Production, Measurement, Digital Trafficking, Ada, Programmatic etc
Team Growth
- Manage and motivate your team, coaching and empowering them as required.
- Review performance of line reports and team members on a regular basis. Provide regular feedback and conduct appraisals ensuring successes are highlighted and provide constructive feedback on a regular basis.
- Oversee the implementation of best practices and efficiencies with your team.
- Ultimate responsibility for accuracy and timeliness of Client Strategy team’s work
- Lead the recruitment process for your teams working alongside management and People team.

OUR TEAM_
Client Strategy is Talon’s customer-facing senior team leads that are responsible for servicing, strategizing and growing clients’ Out of Home business. The goal for these team leads is to provide a high quality, best-in-market OOH partnership experience for Talon’s clients, which results in them growing their use of OOH advertising and creating world-class OOH innovation and campaign effectiveness.
Each Client Strategy lead is responsible for delivering Talon’s product, performance, and partnership with a specific portfolio of agencies and direct clients. They are also responsible for delivering Talon’s business and financial goals for their clients.
To achieve goals, Client Strategy Lead (a) develops and executes annual strategies to grow and evolve each clients’ use of OOH advertising, (b) delivers high quality, thoughtful and pro-active client service and deliverables, (c) takes ownership of OOH campaign strategies, solutions, and results, and (d) partners with internal and external stakeholders to ensure strategic ideas are executed effectively through to completion.
Each Client Strategy lead also takes responsibility for providing continuous, relevant education on the power and potential of Out of Home advertising to its portfolio of clients and agencies; for promoting Talon and the value-add services that Talon provides; and for driving adoption of Talon’s suite of services and solutions.
