 THE ROLE_

As a Staff / Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations and owning key components of the month-end close for our US subsidiary. This role has a strong focus on balance sheet integrity, expense management, and financial reporting.

You will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely financials, while partnering cross-functionally to support the broader finance function. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a solid accounting foundation who is looking to take ownership and grow within a fast-paced environment.

A DAY IN THE LIFE_

  • Own key components of the month-end close, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and supporting schedules
  • Prepare and maintain balance sheet reconciliations (cash, prepaids, accruals, and other key accounts), ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of reconciling items
  • Perform bank and cash reconciliations across multiple accounts
  • Manage overhead accounting, including expense review and monthly analysis of spend vs. expectations
  • Process and review employee expense reports and corporate card activity, ensuring compliance with company policies
  • Prepare payroll-related journal entries, including allocations and recharge entries
  • Maintain prepaid and accrual schedules, including amortization and tracking of ongoing balances
  • Support fixed asset accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting and analysis requests from finance leadership
  • Provide support for annual audits, including preparation of supporting documentation
  • Contribute to process improvements and enhancements to strengthen controls and efficiency
  • Handle special projects and other ad hoc tasks as needed

  • CPA preferred
  • 3-5 years relevant accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of month-end close and balance sheet reconciliation processes
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

AS WELL AS_

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Experience working in a multi-entity environment preferred
  • Experience with accruals, prepaids, and general ledger accounting
  • Familiarity with expense management tools and ERP systems (NetSuite preferred but not essential)
  • Experience supporting audits and working with external auditors
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate variances
  • Experience in the media or agency sector preferred but not essential
