THE ROLE_
We are seeking a motivated and analytical individual to join our team as a Senior Planner in the Client Services department at Talon Outdoor. As a Senior Planner, you will play a crucial role in supporting our media operations and buying for clients in Out of Home. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized and detail-oriented individual looking to start their career in the media industry.
A DAY IN THE LIFE_
As a Senior Planner, everyday blends strategy, creativity, and collaboration. No two days are the same, as the role requires adapting to changing market conditions and evolving client needs. The day typically begins with reviewing emails, campaign updates, and any overnight client or vendor communications. Building strategic media plans, evaluating formats (billboards, transit, digital, and more), and crafting recommendations aligned to client goals and budgets fills much of the day. Additionally, this role centers around collaboration. Senior Planners connect with internal teams and vendors throughout the day. Strong communication skills are essential, as the planner acts as a bridge between clients, vendors, and the operations team. Senior Planners ensure that every campaign runs smoothly from concept to completion, maintaining high standards for quality and accuracy. Each day brings new challenges, opportunities, and creative possibilities making the role both dynamic and rewarding.
- Assist in execution of all client projects as needed.
- Identify ways to increase system and process efficiencies.
- Coordinate and guide workflow between all Talon departments, including Finance, Ad/Buying Operations, Media Investment, etc.
- Accurately input and maintain vendor information, negotiated rate data and process in talon systems.
- Manage non-rate related data (space/section/special format/POP/samples/etc.) in Talon systems.
- Provide systems support to all teams.
- Communicate tactical information directly to vendors.
- Complete data entry and manage discrepancies.

- Bachelor's degree in Media Studies, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Familiarity with media research tools, analytics platforms, or data visualization software is a plus.

- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proficient in data analysis and working with spreadsheets, Excel, and other relevant software.
- Advanced skills in PowerPoint, with the ability to create visually appealing and effective presentations.
- Basic understanding of media planning and advertising principles.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate across departments.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

*Dependent upon experience, the salary for this role can range from $75,000-$80,000*
