THE ROLE_

  • The Director, Planning is responsible for the development and negotiations of best-in-class out of home plans for Talon clients.  As Director, you are responsible for maintaining excellent relationships with our Media Owner partners, working closely with the internal planning team to help grow and develop their talents, and excel in the OOH marketplace as the SME (Subject Matter Expert).

A DAY IN THE LIFE_

  • Have ultimate responsibility for OOH plan development, media owner relations, client investment, team growth and development along with ensuring your team is delivering the highest level of service to stakeholders
  • Oversee the creation, maintenance, & management of documents and reports throughout the planning and buying process
  • Have a thorough understanding of the strategy and objectives for your accounts. Work with client and agency partners to drive the OOH strategy with corresponding tactics and its contribution to wider business objectives
  • Responsible for ensuring the delivery of plans to budget and with best value offer for clients
  • Have a comprehensive understanding and utilize all internal and external tools, systems, audience metrics & data to create and deliver creative & effective OOH campaigns
  • Have a strong understanding of Talon’s planning and buying principles, and the ability to articulate these to client, agency, & vendor partners at a senior level
  • Identify and resolve all major issues within teams to the mutual benefit of all parties
  • Regularly monitor client service levels and gather external feedback from client, agency, and vendor partners
  • Ultimate responsibility for developing and maintaining vendor relationships
  • Work collaboratively across all internal teams including Client Success, Production, Finance, Sales, etc.
  • Lead or manage cross-company working groups or initiatives to ensure Talon are at the forefront of industry leading developments
  • Support your Line Manager in the hiring process for new team members as required
