The Digital Strategy Director is responsible for partnering with client success, digital activation, and business development teams within Talon’s client portfolio. The Digital Strategy Director will develop strong relationships with key clients and agency teams, and a deep understanding of their internal processes, priorities and preferences. The primary goal will be to promote their use of digital OOH and Talon’s digital solutions through education, inspiration, delivery of strategic, data-driven campaign proposals, and pro-active, insight driven pitches. The Digital Strategy Director will proactively identify opportunities to increase engagement with digital OOH, and ad spend, from digital/programmatic agency teams across the digital solutions portfolio.

OOH is an increasingly digital channel, and the future growth of the OOH advertising sector will be primarily driven by digital inventory and digital-first agencies and marketers who develop and grow their use of the channel. Talon’s Digital Solutions team, and proprietary Digital OOH AdTech offering, are the centrepieces of our strategy to enable digital agencies and marketers to easily increase their use of digital OOH, navigate the digital OOH market and apply Talon’s digital advertising solutions to enhance the performance of their OOH campaigns. Talon’s solutions include but are not limited to data driven audience targeting, flexible and programmatic media buying, and outcome-based measurement or attribution.




  • Proactively identify and pursue client and revenue opportunities within existing agency partners
  • Support business development’s pursuit of new clients and opportunities through evangelization of Talon digital solutions
  • Forecast, prioritize, and monitor opportunity pipeline on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis
  • Stay abreast of the market trends and competitor solutions, and work to gain market share for our solutions and services
  • Collaborate with our Client Strategy teams to drive new revenue by identifying expansion opportunities with current clients and new vertical opportunities
  • Develop advertiser and agency contacts and cultivate relationships at all levels to influence buying decisions
  • Prepare and execute high impact meetings with clients
  • Primary responsibility for servicing and growing a portfolio of clients, as well as having the main responsibility for ensuring Talon is delivering the highest level of service
  • Acquire a thorough understanding of client strategy and objectives for all key accounts
  • Develop a deep, expert understanding of Talon’s audience targeting, programmatic, and measurement capabilities
  • Operate as a subject matter expert on Digital OOH and Talon’s digital solutions
  • Present to agency and client partners externally, to educate and inspire them on digital OOH use cases and best practices and evangelize Talon’s solutions
  • Work closely with designated client team(s) to secure and evaluate RFPs and develop strategic campaign recommendations.
  • Work closely with Talon’s programmatic operations team to produce and sell campaign proposals, integrating knowledge about client preferences and needs
  • Respond to client communications and requests in a timely and effective manner
  • Present post-campaign measurement results to clients with rationale and context around results and provide future recommendations to improve results
  • Proactively ideate on reengagement opportunities
  • Effectively prioritize tasks and responsibilities focusing first on client deliverables
  • Manage cross-team communication and collaboration
  • Collect feedback from clients about products/solutions and workflow
  • Proactively identify opportunities and gaps in the digital solutions teams’ offerings
  • Work with the product team to relay client feedback and needs and ensure client needs are weighed appropriately and considered in product roadmaps

  • Ability to clearly articulate product and solution capabilities, how they work, and when/where they should be applied
  • Ability to speak comfortably to clients about Talon products and solutions at both high and low levels based on audience
  • Eagerness and ability to learn quickly and think strategically
  • Independent, self-motivated, and a problem solver
  • Comfortable asking questions and following up with details when unknown
  • Familiarity with ad tech such as programmatic buying and attribution
  • Understanding of location and audience data, how it is collected, how it can be used, different types of user identifiers, etc.
  • Knowledge of cross-channel media planning, including digital/online, and the wider advertising landscape
  • Prior experience in dealing with high profile brands and advertisers
